Pistachio is a Division 1 trumpet Narcissus with one flower to a stem and a cup as long as or longer than the petals. Bulbs measure 14/16 cm and run larger than many other divisions.
Set out in fall in compost-enriched soil, 3 times the bulb height deep, at 4-5 bulbs per square foot. Plants carry gray-green foliage about 1/2 to 1 inch wide and give early spring color in full sun.
