Burpee Scarlet Runner is an ornamental edible pole bean variety. Plants produce large sprays of bright scarlet-orange flowers followed by 8-inch slender pods with richly flavored beans.
Young pods can be used as snap beans, while mature pods can be used fresh or dried for winter. Picking encourages plants to bear more.
