Description
Sombrero Salsa Red is an Echinacea purpurea, or purple coneflower, with intense red daisy-like flowers and dark cones on strong, branched stems.
Native to the central to southeastern United States, plants bloom from mid-summer for months until fall or first frost. Petals hold bright red color in groupings with agastache, phlox and sedum, tolerate drought, heat, humidity and poor soil, and draw butterflies and bees.
