Thunbergia alata produces slender, trailing vines covered with star-shaped blooms in shades of orange and yellow. Each flower has a dark, finely etched center that gives the plant its black-eyed susan name.
The naturally vining growth suits hanging baskets, trellises and arbors, where the plants can display hundreds of blooms.
