Grande Rio Verde is a tomatillo for Mexican-style sauces. Compact plants reach about 24 inches tall, so they fit smaller spaces and containers.
Fruit ripens nearly all at once, which suits canning or freezing. Grow two or more plants to ensure good pollination. Thrives in tomato-like conditions with more heat tolerance. Give it full sun.

These grew nicely and gave me plenty for homemade salsa.
