Lacy Phacelia is also called Lacy Scorpion-weed, Blue Tansy and Bee's Friend. It is primarily used as a cover crop to improve soils and decrease erosion.
Native to Arizona and California, it tolerates drought and poor soils and grows from sea level up to 8,000 feet. Bell-shaped violet flowers grow on fiddlehead clusters and make fantastic cut flowers while attracting native bumblebees, bee flies and honeybees.
