Shock-O-Lat is a well-branched sunflower with yellow-tipped, bronze-red petals and purple-tinged stems. Blooms reach 6 in., or about 3 in. when spaced 10 in. apart.
Stems give many pollenless flowers for cutting in full sun. Petals and young buds are edible.
