Murielae is a Gladiolus callianthus species variety from Africa, reclaimed for borders and cutting. Blossoms alternate up tall stems and give linear structure to the back garden.
Plant in full sun in well drained soil, deeply or with sturdy neighbours for support. Stagger planting at one-week intervals to stretch bloom season. Standard types reach 18-36 inches; smaller types 12-24 inches.
