Balmy Lilac Monarda didyma produces an explosion of bold purple blooms in late spring into summer. The compact, upright, mounding habit spreads 10-12".
It shows exceptional mildew resistance and is untroubled by deer and rabbits. Trim spent blooms. Prefers moist to wet soil in full sun to part shade, and entices bees, hummingbirds and butterflies, particularly when massed.
