DarkStar is a deep-purple tomato with a sweet-sour taste and subtle, painterly colour. The plants grow on 5–7 vines and produce abundant fruit weighing about 5–8 ounces each.
This variety resists blight and develops fewer blemishes than similar heirlooms, giving the harvest a cleaner appearance while retaining an heirloom-style character.
