Lazy Housewife is the true variety introduced by W. Atlee Burpee Co. in 1885. Plants produce green, completely stringless pods with a fine buttery flavour when cooked; leave the pods to dry for round white beans with a richer, creamy taste. A pole or trellis system supports longer cropping and easier harvesting.
