Burpee Showy Milkweed Asclepias Speciosa Seeds

Showy milkweed, Asclepias speciosa, produces fragrant blooms ranging from pinkish white to pinkish purple through spring and summer. Its leaves are a primary food source for monarch butterfly larvae, making it useful in pollinator and naturalised plantings.

The plant adapts to woodland openings, dry slopes, stream edges and roadsides. After flowering, its pods open to release silky-tailed seeds; unopened pods can add interest to autumn bouquets.
