Blue and Breezy Flax opens 1-inch sky-blue flowers at dawn on gracefully arching stems. Each bloom lasts one day, but new flowers open the following morning to maintain color through the season.
The plants tolerate heat, humidity, winter cold, poor soil and drought, and they grow in full sun to part shade. Plant them in groups or mix them with other wildflowers for erosion control; the seeds attract wild birds and the flowers attract pollinators.
