Description
Chervil, also called French parsley or gourmet's parsley, is a culinary herb with leaves resembling parsley and a delicate anise flavor. It is commonly used in fines herbes, salads, fish, meat and tomato juice.
The herb grows as an annual, though it can be biennial in USDA zones 6–9. It prefers cool temperatures; heat can cause bolting. Grow it in full sun to part shade, including in containers, and its flowers attract beneficial insects.
