Description
Detroit Dark Red is an heirloom beet with 2-1/2 in. to 3 in. deep crimson roots. Roots stay tender at full size, and tops cook like chard or spinach.
Sow outdoors after frost. Each beet seed is a dried fruit holding 1 to 5 seeds, so thin seedlings for even roots.
