Description
Early Elberta is an heirloom peach variety dating to the 1870s, producing juicy fruit with excellent flavor and appearance. It is self-fertile, so one tree can set fruit without a second peach variety nearby, and it is suited to organic growing because of its disease and insect resistance. The tree is grafted onto Bailey rootstock, a medium-sized stock chosen for its cold tolerance. It grows outdoors in zones 5–8 and can produce its first harvest in the first year.
