Phyllis is an African marigold named for the co-founder’s mother and also known as ‘Mum Yellow’. Its 3-inch flowers have hundreds of thin, bright yellow petals, while long stems suit bouquets and arrangements. The edible petals have a slightly bitter, citrusy-spice flavor and can garnish rice, salads or desserts.
