Description
Purple Coneflower is a treasured heirloom wildflower native to the eastern U.S. This long-lived perennial blooms for a month or more beginning in midsummer.
Pinkish-purple petals surround a large, dark brown cone that fills with seeds to feed birds in fall and winter. Grow it in borders and water-wise gardens, in full sun to part shade, and cut stems fresh.
