Sensitive Plant is a shy, touch-responsive houseplant with forest-green compound leaflets and globe-shaped lilac-pink blooms. Its leaves fold quickly after contact, heat or changes in light, while the stems reveal spines as a natural defense.
It grows as a perennial in tropical conditions and as a houseplant; elsewhere, it is grown as an annual. Plant it in full sun to part shade, indoors or in a container.
