Description
English Bluebells produce strap-shaped leaves and arching, bell-shaped violet-blue flowers from mid to late spring. The bulbs become dormant in summer and multiply naturally over time, making them suited to mass planting beneath trees, along woodland edges, or in garden beds.
Plant the bulbs in moist, well-drained soil and amend the planting area with compost. Feed with flower bulb fertilizer at planting or when leaves emerge, then let the foliage die back naturally for four to six weeks after flowering.
