Description
Delft Blue Nigella, also called love-in-a-mist, produces violet-blue streaks on snowy white petals followed by unusual seed pods. The upright, branching plants reach 18–24 inches and make useful fresh or dried cut flowers.
Sow the seeds on the soil surface and cover lightly in mid-spring, or start them indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost. Grow in full sun and average, well-drained soil; sow every three weeks for a longer supply of blooms.
