Description
Dwarf Mix strawflower (Helichrysum bracteatum) grows about half the size of regular strawflowers, reaching 24-30 inches tall. Blooms run smaller but cover oranges, yellows and rose.
Sow on the surface and press into soil, as seeds need light to germinate. Sprouts come in 7-21 days at 70-75ºF. Space 12-15 inches apart in full sun and loose, rich, well-drained soil. Flowers follow in 80-90 days. Harvest partly open blooms often, then hang upside down in a dark room with good airflow for dried everlastings.
