Description
Salad Burnet is a Poterium sanguisorba perennial for zones 4-8. It grows about a foot tall with rosy flowers, and the leaves add a subtle cucumber-like flavor to salads.
We pack 50 seeds per packet. Sow on the surface and lightly cover, then keep soil at 70-75 degrees. Seedlings sprout in 5-10 days. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost in peat, cow or paper pots to protect the delicate taproot, then transplant 12 inches apart. Sow outdoors in spring 1-3 inches apart and thin to 12 inches apart. Give full sun and average to sandy, well-drained to moist soil.
