Description
Snowflake is a perennial Gypsophila paniculata for cutting or border planting. Established plants form masses of wiry branches with airy double-white flowers, blooming in early summer onward and reaching about 36-40 inches.
Sow on the surface and press into soil, as seeds need light to sprout; they sprout in 7-14 days at 70-75ºF. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, or sow outdoors after the last frost and thin to 10-12 inches apart. Give full sun and average to rocky, dry, well-drained soil. Cutting flowers prolongs bloom.
