Description
Caladium Rio Summer is a South American caladium grown from tissue culture stock, a method that supports vigorous, consistent planting material. It performs in full shade and can also grow in full sun with a small, steady amount of drip irrigation; leaf colour may vary with climate.
Start the tuber indoors in a two- to three-inch pot with bottom heat, then plant it outside when the soil reaches about 65–70°F at four inches deep. It also works as foliage filler for cut arrangements and as a container plant.
