White Star is an Ipheion uniflorum with six-petaled, star-shaped flowers and grasslike foliage. The foliage smells like garlic when crushed, while the flowers provide a long-lasting display from early through late spring. This pest-resistant naturalizer has established in Colonial Williamsburg and other heirloom gardens across the Southeast.
