Perfecto radish comes from the Mediterranean tradition of eating radishes fresh like cherry tomatoes. Its brightly coloured roots have a sharp, peppery flavour and a neat shape.
Harvest the roots young or leave them in the soil until they reach golf-ball size; the texture stays crisp without becoming woody. Young red-tinged tops can be snipped for salads.
