Description
Phenomenal Cowpea is also known as black-eyed pea, southern pea, field pea and crowder pea. The plants produce red-stemmed green foliage, small purple-pink flowers and yellow pods containing mottled black-and-white beans.
Pick pods when filled for fresh eating, or leave them for another two to three weeks for dried beans. The plants tolerate drought and a wide range of soil conditions.
