Red Cored Chantenay is Burpee bred and easy to grow. Roots run 5 1/2 inches long, short and thick and tapering to a blunt end, golden orange with good flavor. Sow in deep, well-worked, stone-free soil after danger of heavy spring frost, and do not transplant.
