Vivian lettuce is a romaine with the soft texture of a butterhead. Its vigorous plants grow quickly and form large heads, while younger leaves can be picked sooner. Sow directly after the risk of heavy frost has passed; the cool-season plants tolerate a light frost and grow in full sun to partial shade.
