Description
Indigo Rose was developed by Professor Jim Myers at Oregon State University to produce tomatoes containing anthocyanins, antioxidant compounds found in the fruit. The plants form vines about 5 feet long and yield clusters of six to eight tomatoes, each weighing about 2 ounces.
Allow the fruit to ripen fully on the vine before harvesting. The plants need support and produce disease-resistant tomatoes with purplish-brown skin, red centers and a balanced sweet, acidic flavor.
