Prime-Ark® Freedom is a thornless blackberry that fruits on new wood, with white spring flowers followed by dark berries in July and August. The berries are suited to fresh eating, baking and preserving.
The plant is grown from a propagated cutting rather than grafted and is self-fertile. Providing 150–200 chill hours supports fruit development, while planting multiple bushes can improve yields. It can produce one harvest from new canes and a second from older canes in later years.
