Description
Jet Black Hollyhock is a single-flowered Alcea rosea. The blooms read as black, really a very deep purple, and cut well for arrangements.
Sow on the surface and cover lightly, as light aids sprouting. Sprouts in 10-21 days at 60-70ºF. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost or direct sow after frost or in fall; blooms come the second season.
