Description
Large Prague is an heirloom celeriac from 1871, a cousin of celery grown for its root. Roots add earthy flavor to mashed potatoes, fall dishes and braised meats. The packet holds 500 seeds.
Start indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost, sowing 1/8-1/4 inch deep. Sprouts in 10-21 days at 70-75ºF; soaking overnight aids germination. Transplant 8-12 inches apart after frost. Harvest late summer into fall.
