Resina is a Calendula officinalis strain grown for herbal salves and balms and for food or fabric dye, with the highest resin of its type. Sow 1/4 inch deep outdoors 1-2 weeks before the last frost, a few seeds every 6-12 inches, or start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Sprout takes 7-14 days in 65-70ºF soil, with flowers in about 50-60 days.
Plants reach 24-30 inches tall, bearing radiant yellow blooms with an occasional orange flower. Deadhead for season-long bloom.
