Description
Violetta Italia Cauliflower is an Italian heirloom brassica between broccoli and cauliflower in habit. Heads run large for broccoli and small for cauliflower, with side shoots after the central head is cut.
Sow 1/4 inch deep. Start indoors 4-5 weeks before last frost and transplant a week or two before last frost, spaced 18-24 inches apart. Seeds sprout in 4-10 days at 65-85F. Tie leaves around heads to blanch and pick before curds loosen.
