Royal Carpet Alyssum makes the same showy cover as Carpet of Snow, in bright purple. Plants spread and trail 6-8 in. tall by 10-14 in. wide for beds, borders, rock gardens, containers and hanging baskets.
Press seed on the surface, do not cover, as light is needed. Sprout comes in 7-10 days. Thin or transplant 6-8 in. apart around last frost, with a midsummer sow for late blooms.
