Burpee Early Jersey Wakefield cabbage variety is an heirloom adapted from Early Wakefield, grown in US gardens since the 1840s. It quickly produces large, dense, elongated heads with a small core, good wrapper leaves and distinctly sweet flavor.
Eat raw in salads and slaws, cook or pickle after harvest.
