Description
Charleston Gray watermelon was developed by Charles Andrus of the USDA in Charleston, SC, and was the first melon resistant to both Fusarium wilt and anthracnose.
Greenish-gray rind helps protect the melon from sunburn. Fruits average 22"-26" long and 25-35 pounds, giving thick slices for late summer barbecues and picnics. Plant in full sun.
