Description
Common Buckwheat has been used for centuries to improve soil health and smother common weeds. It performs in poor soils and retrieves phosphorus that supports later crops’ root, flower, and fruit growth.
Sown spring to fall frost, it flowers white in about 35 days for beneficial insects and bouquet filler. Plants break down quickly, allowing replanting 3 to 4 weeks after turning into soil, or use as surface mulch. Turn under before seeds form.
