Costata Romanesco summer squash grows ribbed fruits with mottled, striped skin that stays tender to 18 inches. In Italy fruits are picked at 4-5 inches with blossoms attached.
Sow in full sun after frost. Plants produce a large number of male blossoms for stuffing.
