Soil Builder is a field pea and oat combination for improving soil with nutrients and organic material. Peas fix nitrogen and support beneficial insects, while oats hold nitrogen and suppress weeds.
Sown in fall, it grows in cool weather and is killed by winter cold in USDA zones 7 and colder, leaving winter mulch that can be tilled in spring.
