'Spartacus' is a vigorous, 100% male hybrid. Male sterile plants do not make berries, so energy goes into crown and root growth for higher yields and no volunteer seedlings.
Harvest begins in the third year. It is perennial in USDA zones 3-10. Seeds may have an inert organic coating to improve visibility for planting.
