Description
Elizabeth is an old-fashioned blueberry named for Elizabeth White, an important figure in the development and marketing of modern blueberries. It produces dense clusters of nickel-sized berries and can yield over 10 pounds on a mature plant.
Plant in loamy, well-drained acidic soil with a pH of 4.5–5.5, leaving 4–6 feet between plants. Because blueberries have shallow roots, apply a deep mulch of acidic material such as pine needles. Remove blossoms during the first year so the roots can establish.
