Description
German Butterball is an all-purpose heirloom potato with golden skin and yellow flesh. Its rich flavor suits mashed, baked and fried dishes, while the tubers keep for a long time.
Plant whole tubers or cut pieces with 2–3 eyes, letting cut pieces air-dry for 24 hours first. Hill soil, leaves, straw or compost around the growing vines to encourage tuber development. Live tubers ship from mid-March through the end of April 2026.
