Description
Adelaide is a Dutch F1 hybrid bred for baby-carrot harvests. Its bright orange, coreless roots grow to about 3½ inches and hold their sweet flavor well. The carrots work fresh, in salads, pickles and stir-fries.
Sow outdoors 3 weeks before the last frost through midsummer, ¼ inch deep, and thin seedlings to 1–3 inches apart. Keep the soil evenly moist through germination, which takes 6–14 days. Loose soil free of rubble helps the roots develop cleanly.
