Blue Star is an Ipomoea morning glory with very large pale blue flowers over 4 inches across, each marked with a darker blue star inside. Vines climb trellises, fences and poles.
Sow 1/4 inch deep after the last frost when soil is over 70ºF. Germination takes 7-30 days at 70-80ºF; chipping or soaking overnight helps. Space 8-12 inches apart in full sun. Bloom starts about 90 days from seed, mid-August to frost.
