Cherry Queen is a cerise Zinnia elegans grown for showy cut flowers and mass planting. Plants grow upright and branching to 30-40 inches.
Sow 1/8 inch deep. Space 8-12 inches apart. Sprouts in 7-10 days at 75-85ºF soil. Start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost and plant outside after frost, or direct sow after last frost when soil is over 70ºF. Flowers in about 75-80 days. Germination tested right-sized packet ships year-round.
