Description
Cow Horn Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) is an 1860s heirloom that can reach 8 feet tall. Its pods may grow to 15 inches, but picking them at about 5 inches gives the best eating quality and helps keep the plant producing.
Sow after the last frost in warm soil, or start indoors 4–5 weeks earlier. Harvest by clipping pods at 2–4 inches for continued flowering and production.
