Description
Klondike Blue Ribbon Striped Watermelon produces medium to large oblong fruits with bright crimson flesh and a homegrown flavor. The vines show resistance to fusarium wilt and anthracnose, two diseases that can affect watermelon plants.
Sow the seeds indoors 3–4 weeks before the last frost or outdoors once the soil is above 70°F. Plant in fertile, well-watered soil and harvest when the tendril nearest the stem dries, the ground spot turns butter yellow and the melon sounds hollow when tapped.
